Yoga Marathon 2018

Yoga Marathon 2018 will be in September 22-23.

During these days there will also be fund raising in yoga studios around Sweden.

Yoga Marathon 2013

Yoga Marathon 2013 will be on October 12 at YogaShakti on Timmermansgatan in Stockholm. There will be 15 classes in two yoga halls from 6 am to 6 pm. During the day the will also be fund raising in yoga studios around Sweden.

The first Yoga Marathon a great success

The very first Yoga Marathon was held on Oct 14 2012 at Atmajyoti uoga studio in Stockholm. Between 6 AM and 9 PM yogis came to the 13 classes and participated in the lottery. There ware also yoga marathons on 15 other places around Sweden this day. The fund raising to the Breast cancer fund gave 140 000 SEK!

Yoga Marathon Event brings attention to breast cancer

As many of you know, our dear friend Karin Björkegren Jones was recently diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer. There are many people who are currently following Karin’s blogg, which documents her journey with cancer. The support Karin is receiving from the public is heart warming, with countless comments of love and well wishes.

We (yoga teachers) have created a Yoga Marathon Event to bring attention to Karin’s situation, and many others who are fighting cancer, which shall take place Sunday 14th October 2012 at Atmajyoti, Stockholm. From 6am until 9pm ( the final hour will be to draw the lottery) there will be back-to-back classes of 55 minutes per class, where you can freely come and join at the start of each class and you may take as many classes as you wish.

All the yoga teachers and helpers are volunteering their time and help for this charitable event in order to help raise as much money as possible . The grand total will then be given to the Breast Cancer Research Association, in Karin’s name. We ask you kindly to be a part of this great day and enjoy the practice/s making a donation of money to help support the cause.
